Please help solve the biggest fight happening in our household right now...What came first - The Chicken OR The Egg.

I am not sure how this even started in the first place. This is sooooooo Random.....The debate ensues........

i guess religiously speaking we can say the chicken but scientifically speaking i would also say the egg because sometime along the road of evolution an organism laid an egg which would be the chickens as we know them today.

Well, did anyone see if the chicken or the egg lit the first cigarette ?

Honestly tho, I would say the chicKen because it was created as a chicken... and example would be this :
If 1000 people, men and women were standing naked in a field and among them were Adam and Eve, how could you recognize which 2 were Adam and Eve ?
They would be the ones without belly buttons. They did not need an ambilical cord so no belly button. They were created as fully developed. I would think the same would be true for the chicken.
