The AMERICAN CREW Fiber smelled great when I opened it, had a nice feel when in your hands and went into the hair fairly easily. However, after a small amount of time, I found it started coming out and the nice do that we had done was turning into a puffy mess. It may be that it was put on thicker hair but it just didn't have the all day hold I was looking for. Unfortunately this was not the product for us :(

Smell was a little strong when first opening the jar but it wears really nice in your hair. I would recommend the product but only use a small amount as it's extremely effective and you don't want to make your hair look to greasy or stiff.

I really did not like this product right from the smell to the texture. I used it 2x and then gave it to my friend. He said it was okay but nothing special but didn't dislike it as I did.. I hope that helps.

I used this product on my sons' hair. I really didn't care for the scent of it. I also found it to be kind of dry and flaky...no moisture to the product. Consequently it tended to go into their hair in chunks, even after rubbing it between my fingers before applying, and I'd have to fix it. The product worked well as far as the hold goes although once one of my son's hair started to grow the slightest bit, it no longer held. I appreciated the opportunity to be able to test this product, Unfortunately I will not be purchasing it in the future.

Honestly, this was not what I expected from a "fibre" hair styling product. I've used "fibre" hair products before, and with those, one can see the sticky, stretchy "fibres" of the product between the fingers. This product is much more of a paste or a pommade; it feels a bit like sticky Play-doh. As it is so solid, you really have to work it between your hands before application. I have enjoyed a few American Crew products in the past, but I'm sorry to report that I am not too wild about this one. Overall, it is still a decent product that I'm sure is suitable and liked by many. I still love ya, American Crew!

My son and I both hated the fiber.
A much thinner, non sticky product would have better suited our needs.

The package and all that looks nice. Doesn't liked the consistency and the smell of the product though. Very sticky and doesn't make my hair feel good. Have a better product I use and wouldn't buy that one.

Husband found the product ok. it was a bit stiff in his hair but his hair stand in place for the day. the smell wasn't strong either, he is not fussy on strong smelling products.

I like this stuff. You don't need a lot and it holds somewhat ok but it did lose it's hold before end of my work day.

I like the smell. Find it a little expensive but that being said, you don't need much either.

I'm on the fence about buying this stuff. I need a stronger hold for everyday use but when going out for a few hours, would do the trick.

My husband tried this product after receiving it free from XY STUFF. He liked the fresh light scent of the cream but found it straightened his very curly hair. It has a very firm hold. He thinks it would have been better if he wanted to slick his hair back. The product advertises that it's best for short straight hair so I guess it makes sense that it wasn't appropriate for his hair needs.
