Will not buy again

Bought this product at first tingle of the cold sore. Claims to heal a cold sore as early as two days. By the second day my whole bottom lip was swollen and stayed that way for 3 days. That's never happened to me with a cold sore. It also did nothing to relieve the discomfort, in fact it actually burned after putting in on. After using this product my cold sore actually took LONGER to heal. Will never buy again.

Glad I bought it!

I didn’t get to buy it until after my coldsore started to blister but just a few minutes after the first application the pain and itching went away. The next day the swelling went down and they started to dry out! Highly recommend!!!

Horrible mistake

I bought this cream in hope it would save me from an cold sore out brake. I had a newborn baby and cold sore is a nightmare as I was scared to infect my baby!

I used clera when I first felt the tingle and went to bed. The next morning the cold sore had spread around my whole mouth, on my tongue and inside my nose. I never ever had it as bad! It was everywhere and I was in horror to infect my baby for weeks!

I am back to the old trick using l-lysine and the normal cream...

Works better than anything I have tried so far

Bought at SDM . Applied at first tingle . And carried on to apply throughout the day . By the next day the cold sore definitely breached BUT is smaller than usual by A LOT and much less visible . It didnt go through the gross blistering leaky stage it went right to scabbing and my lip didnt swell like usual. Definitely doesn't stop it ( does anything ???) But makes it way smaller, no swelling AND no pain . Recommend for all the cold sore sufferers . I dont know though how it works if you dont catch the cold sore in time .I will definitely keep this on hand !

I think I found the holy grail of OTC coldsore Tx

I am SOOOO happy I found this at SDM. It appears to be a new formulation and doesn’t contain the same medicinal ingredients as other cold sore treatments I’ve used (both OTC and Rx). The active ingredient is Stannous Fluoride, which is Tin + Fluoride 0.4%. The product is produced in the GTA, which makes me like it even more. I used it for the first time this morning when I first felt a cold sore tingle. It’s now 5:30pm and it appears that the cold sore is not going to breach my skin! I also like how the product is a gel and not a cream. It seems to stay on better. I cannot recommend this product enough if you struggle with orofacial heroes (cold sores).
